I’ve watched Odysseus trying to get home for the past few years, from down here in the Underworld. I’m keeping track of him for Zeus & the other Gods, because we all think he will die. Surely all of his men will pass over, which means more people coming into my domain. I wonder how many will die? So many have died already… Many of his beloved will die, predicted by the dead prophet, Tireasas. Circe led Odysseus on a path that will take him down here, to the Underworld to talk to Tireasas so that she could tell him his fate. I don’t completely agree with this arrangement, nobody from the Land of the Living should be able to come down here & leave again… Alive. I see him coming down here now, he looks depressed. He’s talking to some of the dead… I believe those are his shipmates, the ones who had died on his journey so far. I know his mother is down here as well, but he’s just now finding out that she’s dead. He does not look too pleased… Tireasas has told him his future, & his face shows determination to get back home to his family & kingdom, but I see in his soul that he is hurting. He doesn’t want his men to be killed because of his actions. He’s leaving now, going back to the Land of the Living, the world above me that I‘m forbidden to enter into. He walks away with grief filling his heart, knowing what must happen next. I still have to watch him though, from down here. I need to make sure Odysseus isn’t doing the wrong thing when he goes back up to meet his live shipmates.
